The Creekwood Crocodiles are looking for qualified applicants for Swim Team coaching positions! If you are interested please fill out the Employment Application.
The Creekwood Swim Team was formed in 1981. Since 1982, we have been a member of the Chesterfield Aquatic League (CAL). Parent reps from Creekwood, Loch Braemer, Willow Oaks, Meadowbrook, Beulah, and Central Chesterfield were the founding teams for the league. The new league assured every swimmer the opportunity to swim in the championship meet and limit travel to the surrounding area. The league follows the same rules today. If a swimmer does not swim a qualifying time during the regular season, under the CAL rules he/she will be able to swim the stroke of their choice in the championship meet.
Kathy Wellman coached the 1982 Creekwood Swim Team consisting of 21 mites, 23 midgets, 10 juniors, 17 intermediate and 16 seniors. They took fist place that year! Ry Beveille, Wendy Bryant, Bryan Holden, Charlie Krausse, and Chris Self, five of the original mites, continued to swim for Creekwood through the 1993 summer season. Many of the original 1981 swimmers represented their home team throughout their high school years and continued to swim in college.
It takes tremendous time and dedication from the swimmers and parents to make a swim team successful. This dedication has enabled Creekwood to continue its swim team throughout the years.
Creekwood is proud to have many accomplished swimmers on the team including 2000 Olympian, Rada Owen.
The 2011 Creekwood Swim Team finished second in their division, a great accomplishment! Many of our swimmers also took home medals in their respective stroke at Champs!
